Pillows... and a painted futon

I made two new pillows for a friend of my mom's.  I brought them up to our cabin over the 4th to give them to her.  Before I handed them off, I snapped so pictures:

 See the nice white futon?? Well at the beginning of the summer, it was a light wood tone, that had quite a bit of water damage. One weekend while I was up there, it was rainy- so I got to painting. I forgot to snap any before pictures....

Then, when I was out shopping, I saw these:  My same pillows... only round.  What do you think?  I kind of like them - but do people prefer square pillows.  If I made some of these for my Etsy shop - do you think they would sell?  

Oh - and do you see the square one on the bottom left - it kind of looks like a poinsettia - just got some ideas for Christmas :)

Snow Day

After reaching 50 degrees last week, yesterday we got almost a foot of snow.  Talk about a tease of Spring, and then a reminder that I live in Minnesota and it is still February!

We decided not to leave the house yesterday, since we couldn't see 2 feet out our window.  So I took advantage of the day at added some things to my Etsy shop:

I did it - I have officially listed items for purchase on my Etsy shop!

Look:

I named it 99twelve.  This is my street address. Since I love my home and filling it with beautiful things, I felt that the name was fitting. Hopefully people like what they see and I can help fill their (or your) homes with beautiful and unique things.

Now I just have to wait and see if anything sells.  I actually have about 3 more items (non flower pillows) that I am going to list, but want to get my feet wet just a little.  I am also going to be listing a 'custom' pillow listing, with all the possible colors, for those of you that said you were interested.

I also have a new jigsaw that will be going to good use for pretty signs and monograms once it is warm enough (we have a no saw dust rule in the house - we learned the hard way).

I also want to make a promise to you, I am not going to stop decorating my house, doing large projects, and re-doing furniture - as I still love that, but this is another new found passion, so I am just adding to my list.
