- We eat dinner in the basement (in front of the tv) a lot. I always sit on the floor (classy I know). A rug would give a nice, cushy, softness to our "seating-area".
- A rug would help with the wear and tear on the carpet, which takes a beating, because we spend a lot of time in this room
- A rug would bring another punch of color into the space. Ensuring that our basement is fun and lively, not blah.

Ohhhhh it has to be the orange and white chevron... no question!
I like #2 and #8 best!
I like #4 or 5. The others are really pretty. I guess it depends on whether you want something that makes a statement or something that blends with what you have. The yellow and gray rugs are very pretty, but may not stand out much with the other gray and yellow.
Love your sectional, by the way. Is it a Karlstad from IKEA? I have it in dark gray. I think mine needs a little yellow in the form of some pillows after seeing this.
