Our house was built in the 1950's and the doors that we have are original. I love them. They are sturdy, wood doors. Unfortunately, they have gotten a bit beat-up over the years. The bottom was uneven and chipped. It was getting so bad that you could see daylight (literally) through the bottom of the door. In the summertime, annoying.......In the winter, it was chilly. If you stood in front of the door, you could feel the draft.
And when it looks like this outside....
...the last thing you want are drafts.
My husband made a quick trip up to Ace Hardware and purchased a door seal. It slid into place and was connected to the door with screws.
Now the seal is air tight and we don't have anymore drafts! Yeah!
